Gardening Club

13 Mar 2020

This year we have had over 40 pupils who registered for the gardening club after school on a Tuesday. So far this year pupils have completed a lot of activities e.g. fed the birds, pulled out weeds, took part in the ‘Big Garden Bird Watch’, prepared containers for planting, completed research on-line, tidied greenhouse, looked after wormery, added to compost and watered plants. We used the compost donated by the Bulrush to prepare for the planting of our vegetables and plants however, very little planting has been done as pupils have been at home due to Covid19. The water butts have been a great addition to our garden and have been extremely useful when watering the beech hedging at the rear of the school. The pupils have been extremely helpful and hardworking and teamwork has been the key to the success of our Eco-garden.
